Was told that my severe reflux was due to my slipped band. Meaning, when the band comes out, the reflux should be gone. It's not. It's not nearly as bad as it was (now I only take 40mg Rc Prilosec 2x a day instead of that + OTC Zantac) when I was banded, looks like I'll be on a PPI forever.

When I try to cut back on my PPI, I have severe reflux and a day of heartburn following. As long as I take my PPI, I'm normally good about 28/30 days (at times it's bad no matter what)

Not sure if it's damage done by the band or something new caused by my sleeve?

Good luck!

Hi sorry about your problem, I'm not much help , am in early stages of a WLS and I was torn between band and sleeve and my insurance only covers one so must make right decision .. Good luck , I read about reflux and am scared! Maybe if you revise you'll be better!
