Am I the only one who has a hard time talking about my weight?

Just finished my 3rd preop visit & I am a nervous wreck. Saw a nurse practioner this time & had to discuss my deepest feelings about my weight. Hated it! She kept talking about her past & weight issues. Other patient experiences. I just wanted to be done with this visit. Maybe Im to sensitive on this subject...

I don't like discussing emotional stuff or my weight, but put them together and fugeddabboutit! Better at writing down my thoughts.

I actually cry when I talk about it. I have been trying to discuss the surgery and how important it is to me, with my adult son and his finance. They just don't understand and she tells me every reason I shouldn't do it and that I'm not even that big...

What the hell? She's not a mental health expert. I think it's normal to cry. I think it shows how much it bothers you abd that you have a lot of motivation to lose weight!
