I have my last dietician visit next month and just wondering how long it takes once submitted to get an answer... Is there anything I can do to speed up the process? Call ahead of time?

I see this is an old topic, but I also have bcbs of mn and in my last few dietitian appointments. Was there anything to speed the process along?

It was really quick.. I think they came back with an approval within a few days after everything was submitted and they did cover pretty much everything. Good luck!

I have bcbs as well and after getting it submitted everything came back very quickly. I also called maybe once or twice after I knew my doctor sent it in to insurance to make sure they were processing it. I think from the time I submitted to insurance to the time my surgery was scheduled it was about a week.

Glad to hear. That is the one thing I am most nervous about...going through all this prep and then having insurance deny me.
