Angst about surgery is so normal and is to be expected. The professionals at the hospital are so well trained to handle all of the surgery before and after duties. You will be fine. Just do what they tell you to do and all will be well. The first week is very rough but don't let tht deter you. The first week after surgery is always tough, regardless of what kind of surgery you have. Get up and walk and drink your fluids. Simple as that. Good luck and sending up healing prayers for you. Hugs

I had the same emotions and it is normal....I was thinking is this the best thing for me until the morning of surgery and they put the stuff in my IV that made me REAL HAPPY!!! my mom was there and was tearing up and I remember not being able to be serious and smiling a lot and laughing as they took me back to the o\r afterwards I felt bad that I was laughing while she was crying but I couldnt help it!! LOL!!! I woke up and felt groggy and in a daze for awhile but I was not in a lot of pain!!! I WAS FREAKING OUT FOR NOTHING!!! shure you are sore but nothing like I had imagined, You will do great and make sure to ask for your pain meds and keep in good spirits I had all the doc's and nurses laughing the whole time. They sent me home after 24 hours and I was fine!!! We will see you on the losers bench soon!! keep us posted

As people have already said, your feelings have been experienced by all of us right before surgery. My advice is walk, walk, walk and drink your water. Surgery is the BEST thing I ever did for myself. I can run, climb mountains, play/keep up with my kids and fit into so many cute clothes now. I also can say the experience has made me a stronger person and I have confidence in myself like never before. It has not been easy by any means, lots of emotions, lots of heartache and lots of joy...of course all at the same time :o). I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you hit the floor running...well walking at first!

You got this !!! The nerves are just a normal thing, you will do great! Just remember to do as your instructed and everything will be fine !!

Thanks everyone!!! This has helped me tremendously.

Good Luck tomorrow !!!

You got this! Good luck!
