Marga WELCOME BACK!!! We missed you. We are all having our ups and downs and hopefully we can use each other to help us through!

NV Glad to hear you are doing so well, you have been through so much. 75lbs :whoo:

Dan I think you are doing great and food will always be a temptation, regardless. I don't think that will ever change.

FarmerE Were the coworkers doing the exercisse worried too? that sounds crazy! I would be scared now. I drink wine, probably the most I have had since fills is three - four glasses and never had a problem. I have not had a problem except getting to tipsy. I don't think beer is the best choice due to the bubbles, gas, I have had two glasses at the most and can feel it bubbling up. I had a Water that was carbonated in a meeting and I did not realize until I opened it. Over two hours I think I drank 1/2. however, in the middle of a hearing, i burbed this loud noise in my throat. I was embarrassed. No on knew of course why, probably thinking, WOW, what a pig!

Lucy Welcome to Onderland:clap2: GREAT JOB!!!!

BigBaby....HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

I have been very busy this week and I missed you all! I have been feeling good restriction this week. But I am not sure of the weight loss. I hate that scale! Does anyone have problems with your hair still falling out? I wish mince would stop, I really can feel it thinner and it is scaring me. I am taking Vitamins and trying to eat my Protein. I bought some more owder drinks to make some more Protein Drinks. any ideas?

Have a great Monday!!

Stef Great slide show. You looked great! I don't have to ask if you had a good time! Vacations go way to fast.

How was your eating? Did you get to work out? you are our exercise guru! You probably did a lot of walking.

Glad to have you back.

Thank you! Yes, we did have a phenomenal time out there! So much so that we actually went house hunting in Henderson one day, as well! We'll see how that pans out. Yes, it did go fast, but we were glad to get home, too. We were TIRED! LOL The eating was really odd...I don't know if it was the elevation change, or what, but I could hardly eat a thing out there. Everything got stuck immediately, with the exception of bananas and I was able to eat salmon the night we went to the formal dinner, thank goodness. I didn't get to work out as much as I'd like...hubby kept saying it was time to take a break. But I did get up to the gym at our casino twice...so gorgeous. Over 1000 feet above the city with the Black Mountains beyond that, with the weight equipment outdoors next to a sparkling pool...what more could an excercise addict ask for? LOL Yes, we did TONS of walking...I should have taken my pedometer!

Finally...I think I've beaten this dang staph infection that was at my main incision site. It's taken basically two bouts with this since Oct. 6 and two types of antibiotics, but I think it's gone for good.

I'd been up/down the same 4 pounds during all of this, even though I wasn't eating any differently...couldn't get below 250. I'm not 248.8 and happy. I think the scale's finally back to normal.

Steph, great pics! You look awesome and it looks like you had a blast!!

Stef - Glad you are back and that you had a great time in Vegas! We have missed you :-)

I haven't been around much lately - transitioning to the new job is taking up a lot of time! The good news, if it works out, is we may have someone to buy our house, so the family can move sooner than expected. That means though I have to find a house to rent instead of 1 bedroom apartment!

Lucy - congrats on ONEDERLAND! Only 38 more lbs for me. I would love to be there by my birthday on Jan 13th, but with moving and a new job, that could be really difficult.

I am traveling for holidays, so I will check back in when I get back. I hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
