How to figure out protein

hi all, does anyone know how to figure out your BMI and protein intake?I have lost 50lbs sine being sleeved February 3 . and I read when your BMI goes below 30 you need to adjust your protein intake. right now My protein level is between49 to 57 . I honestly don't know how I can go below that. I think I will be at starvation mood! I don't go back for a check up until May.

Others who are at your bmi might have input but my first thought after reading your post was to call. Call the dietitian or nurse practitioner on your team and ask. I right now I'm trying to get 80 grams in a day! Lol

maybe I will get more! yippee! thanks!

Oh.....and congrats on your loss of 50 pounds! Yay you!

I am not supposed to change my protein intake as my weight goes down. Did your doctor suggest this, or is it just something you heard about? I am not planning to adjust down because I don't want to lose hair and muscle.

My surgeon calculated the daily protein intake based on what my goal BMI would be, not what my starting BMI was so I have stayed with 55-60 gm a day.
