Any April Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

Mine was April 1st. I am soooo ready to move to purees, but kinda scared to. Posted and hoping to receive suggestions from longer-term VSGers on what is good pureed. I had an absolutely horrible 24 hours after surgery. Almost uncontrollable vomiting and retching, so I am a bit spooked. :0 Everyone else doing well?

I had the same 24 hours after surgery. I'm only 3 days out and I haven't even been able to hold down 1 Protein Shake. I keep telling myself I can do it and it will be worth it. Even if I don't believe it right now.

Post op Day 6 and it's my BIRTHDAY!! Steadily getting in my liquids. Mild nausea and gas pains but no show stoppers. I'm band to sleeve and can say I feel so much better this time around than when my band was installed in 2011. Taking it one day at a time and staying hopeful!!

I'm April 23rd - no big Easter dinner at my house. I'm day 3 of 10 day Protein Drink only diet. Not alot of energy now and I'm sick with some virus. I should have stopped caffeine a month ago. I have a headache on top of things. I'm trying to stay busy.

I think we should do a group text for those of us going tomorrow so we can all chat together. Cannot believe it is tomorrow! I feel like I have a billion things to do today. So anxious, nervous, and excited.

Hello New Jen, How are you doing now? I was sleeved on the 9th... I'm doing ok! Just adjusting to my new life eating schedule! I'm getting my Proteins & liquids in just fine! I'm not hungry or full. I'm still sore. I am actually looking forward to when I will feel well enough to exercise... Walking of something!

Are you feeling ok, are you reaching your Protein & liquid goals?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
