Any May sleevers out there?

Recommended Posts

I will be one year post-op on Thursday the 8th. I want to tell you this it THE BEST DECISION I EVER MADE. Except having my daughter of course. I have said it before and I will say it again, I would do this surgery once a year if that's what it took to keep my sleeve. I don't regret it for a single second!!! Here's to all the May sleevers, you are doing amazing things for yourself, and your health!! Congrats. :)

Thank you for posting this. It really does make me feel better. I'm 6 days into my preop diet wondering how I will ever be able to eat this little for a lifetime. But I guess having most of your stomach gone helps with this problem. :)

I will be joining the May Sleevers on the 19th so I am getting everything ready. I am having a hard time figuring out the best Multi-Vitamin and calcium citrate to purchase now to have at home for after surgery....There are so many choices in the stores and online...So I would like some first hand recommendations...

Thanks!

I'm 10 days post op just tried Greek yogurt for the first time it made me stomach grumble. But today I got on the scale and I'm .4 lbs heavier.... What's going on with me?!! I've lost 28.5 lbs so far. I'm in such a down mood today I was so hoping to be closer to 30lbs today.

Measure yourself!! Your inches lost will keep your spirits Up!!!

Good luck:)

Havent been on here since my appmnt that was scheduled on May 1st. I came home so disappointed. As I approach my turn to register at the front desk...I was told my insurance does not cover them. I was so furious. Ive been paying 250 for a ppo plan for about a year now and on jan 1st my plan was changed to H M O California covered program without my consent and Increased my payments to 300 a month which I didn't mind paying that much and I have. When i log into my account online it clearly states PPO and ehealthinsurance also sees PPO on their end but it was switched to H M O. I moved and no longer reside there so a waste of my two months. Now since I've moved I qualify to switch my plan. Im waiting on the transfer approval on june 1st which Is right around the corner. Please pray for me sleevers. Im so anxious to get this started. =)

Oh and Happy Mothers Day to all the hot and soon to be hotter mamas out there! ;)

@@KittyKatt Sorry you are having to deal with redtape. It's worth it. Keep your chin up, and remember things happen for a reason.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
