Went To The Gym Only ONE Day

Recommended Posts

I went to the gym last week but I couldn't go back the next day because my old sneakers scrapped my pads..... Can y'all recommend a GOOD walking/running sneaker....? I'm going shopping for a pair today.

I prefer New Balance, they are very comfy and I they come in wide widths for my chubby feet, lol. They last forever too !

My foot doctor reccommends New Balance. I've had great experiences with them. Go to a New Balance store if possible to get fitted. Then, you can buy the shoes anywhere.

I would suggest going to a running store...not just a "shoe" store. They should be able to evaluate your feet/stride/how you land, etc and suggest a shoe for you. I started running in one brand of shoes (a VERY popular running shoe) that I got at a shoe store....4 months later having knee/I.T. band pain. So I went to a true running store and got what they recommended and haven't had pain since. You'll be amazed at what a difference the correct shoes for you can make. I now run in Newton Sir Isaac's and love them! And they are HIGHLY visible. ;)

Thank you all. I couldn't go today so maybe tomorrow.

Hey, catfish, with the pretty eyes and mesmerizing smile, my current sneakers were from a running store... But I didn't go on the treadmill.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
