Waiting for approval

I called the insurance today and found out my case is with the Medical Director is that good or bad? I thought it was reviewed by the Medical nurse and he/she would make the decision. Is this a bad sign?

    . I think every insurance is diff on who it goes to for approval but I have ready many threads on her of people whom have been approved after calling insurance and knowing the med director was reviewing it!
