frustrated :/

I've heard its completely normal but I can't help for feeling down. I'm a week and 4 days post op been doing everything the same as the first week and I've actually gained 3 pounds when my first week I lost 20. Can't help but think I'm gonna fail or the surgery isn't gonna work for me . I know its probably to early to get upset but I can't help it. :( just wanted to vent thanks!

Shannon,

"Hold the vision and trust the process."

Your body is still adjusting and trying to shed all the IV fluid they pumped into you. No worries, stick to the plan and it will happen...

I am going through the same thing. I am 12 days out. I know I have to be losing weight because i'm not eating that much, but the scales are hanging on to that weight. i know I am holding Fluid. I have faith it will start happening soon. Just wanted to encourage you because I have had all the same thoughts you've had. Good Luck!

I'm glad to read this. Hopefully I'll stay focused when it happens to me. My surgery isn't until next month.

I got over my funk lol this surgery is def a " life" changing journey in soooo many ways! I can't lie or sugar coat anything there has been several times I thought I screwed up my life by having this surgery but I just stayed positive and the goods def out weigh the bads. I'm still battling getting all my liquids in and protein and I'm 17 days out I think lol but everyday gets a little better. :)

It is literally life changing but I'm ready because this isn't working. I can barely move it seems.

I just had surgery March 25. I hurt badly and haven't really lost weight yet. Right now I'm just concentrating on healing from this major surgery, and getting my fluids and protein. I'm on vacation ;-)

That's what you should do concentrate on getting better :) the surgery will handle the weight loss! I will say the fluid intake gets so much better I'm 19 days out now and I still have bad days but I'm able to get a lot more water down. I'm down 27 lbs :)

Thats amazing, Shannon! I know if I just keep following Dr orders, the weight will come off.
