What did you eat 10 days post-op?

Hi all,

This is my first thread. I was banded on March 10, 2014. Today I am 10 days post op. I lost 13.8 pounds so far! This is very exciting for me BUT I AM HUNGRY! I can consume more then 4oz every hour and I won't lie.. I had a few bites of food (scrambled egg, a few bites of a mashed potato ..) I never got the "stuck" feeling and I took small bites and was satisfied. Am I horrible?! What did you eat 10 days post-op?

I was banded on the 13th and I am on the full liquid diet. I have not tried to eat anything else for fear of getting stuck or vomiting. Believe me I thought about it. I do find my self hungry at times. I'm hoping the increased protein helps. I'm going to make smoothies for breakfast with protein in them and a few grits. I've found that ducking on candy helps me. But other ladies may have better suggestions than me.

I guess different doctors have different restrictions. I was banded on Monday, with a 2 week pre-op diet. Monday and Tuesday were liquids only. Wednesday and Thursday I could progress to soft foods and today my post - op days I can go to normal diet (minus carbs, etc). I haven't tried anything risky yet, and my doc did start with a small fill, but I ate boiled eggs yesterday. And I plan to try oatmeal today.

I was on liquids the first 2 weeks after surgery, but my doctor allowed oatmeal and soggy cereal during this phase. I ate a lot of soup.
