August Surgery in Puerto Vallarta

Recommended Posts

@@Freebird14 I did take guaze pads (adhesive kind) and chicken broth packets. The packets were a Godsend on the airplane. I did not take any crystal light or water; I went to the local Walmart (a taxi ride away) and brought some flavored zero calorie Water. They had a geat variety to chose from and some GREAT flavors we don't have here in the US. I didn't met any other patients; in fact, I was the only patient in the hospital during my stay. Dr. Leo picked me from the hotel about 8:00 to take me to rhe hospital, which was about a 15-20 drive. I had to complete some paperwork and then was taken to my room. I was taken back to the OR about 10; D Lopez and Dr. Edgar came to the room about 9:00 to discuss the surgery and answer any questions.

I heard from AnaKaren, the patient Coordinator for Dr. Lopez. Dr. Leo will be meeting me and my sister at the airport when we arrive on Tuesday afternoon. I packed chicken broth packets as well as a small bottle of Crystal light drops. Also, gauze, bandages, antibiotic ointment. Thanks for the Walmart tip! :-)

Which hospital or clinic in Puerto Vallarta, I am condering PV with Dr. Joya or Castaneda.

I had surgery with Dr. Joya at Amerimed Hospital in July. The Dr. And staff were wonderful. The nutritionalist Natalie speaks fluent English as does Dr. Joya. And the hospital is newly remodeled, immaculate and very comfortable with around the clock staff.

How is everything going since surgery? I'm headed to see dr joya in about a month :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
