Recommended Posts

NSV!!! A co-worker told my I looked really skinny today! My response "I am really skinny today!" I love my band!!! I have got to find more pants that fit though. The one or two pair I have are not enough!

You are doing great! I have already mailed some pants to another Amayzing Band sister.......I would not mind sending some to you if the size is right, what size are you into now (if you do not mind me asking). Send me a pm if you want.

I went in for my third fill and my doctor wasn't going to give it to me because I told him I was Pbing. I begged him to check how much was actually in there because I had stayed the same over the last three weeks. I was supposed to have 2.6 in there but he could only pull out 2.2 so he refilled it to 2.6. Well some of it must of been hiding in there because this is tight! I can get liquids down but yogurt is to much for now. I have to puree my Soup if it has any thing in it like vegetables just to get it down. I have gone back to two shakes a day but even those are hard to get down. i think it will be a long while before I go back in for another fill. i think I will just hang tight (literally) through the Holidays and get a fill in January. This is reminding me of my pre and post op liquid diet but if the scale starts to move then I can live with it. I know my Vitamins and Protein Drinks are crucial for now.

The good news is I went to Nordstroms and tried on 'Not My Daughters Jeans' and bought a size 16. Down two sizes from the start of this and out of the women's sizes . . . Yeah for me!

Do you guy realise that next month will be 6th months since we were banded? I can't belive it. Are you were you thought you would be at this 1/2 year mark? Sure makes me want to kick it in gear and see how much more I can get off this month. food for thought!

I was just thinking about this yesterday and Im so happy that I have done way better than what I thought I would have at just 6 months. I have lost more than what I thought it would take a year to lose. I cant say enough how much I love my band.

Hello all!

I have been extremely busy at work and have not been able to read let alone participate on our blog. I hop everyone is doing great! Sounds like it just skimming over the posts! It is six months isn't it! Wow, I am about half way to goal. I just hope that means I will make goal by next May. I have had three fills and the third one kicked my booty. But, now it seems to be loosening up a bit. I blew it for the last two days. Someone brought a beautiful chocolate cake in and sat it in the break room. I kept controll all day, then just before I went home I caved in and ate a peice. Then my old ways kicked in and I though since I've already blown it, I'll have a milk shake! I suck!!!! Well, I was angry at myself all day yesterday but managed to eat small and healthy. But, when I got home..I caved in again! I wasn't even hungry, it was just eating to eat! Dang! I may need to go back and get another fill or something. Good thing is I am not too down on myself. I am getting back on track today! I ate a really healthy Breakfast and will do the same for lunch and dinner.

I will catch up on the emails as soon as poss. Just wanted to say hi and tell you guys good going! Your all amazing and doing great. The nicest bunch of people I have met in along time!

Blessings,

wow, it has flown.

i had some significant weight loss recently, but it was because i'd gotten too tight and was on liquids for amonth! dr is not happy and we arent going to do that again. Still facinating that people can live off of liquids isnt it?

Im eating normal foods now. even more normal than before. i can eat a small amount of toast!

usually i can hold about three quarters of a banana comfortably at a time. I still have 90 lbs to go.

amazing how time flies. im finally ready to drop a jean size, from a 24 to a 22. yay.

Liz- That is fabulous about the jeans! I personally have never been able to eat bananas with my band :) Since my fill last week I have been afraid to eat much of anything. Sometimes I can eat a small amount of food just fine, other times a bite or two is all I can take so I have a Protein Shake instead.

Melissa- THAT SUCKS! I have never had them but they sound very painful!

Manatee- Congratts on Onederland. How does it feel really? Do you feel like you won a big contest??? I cant wait to know that feeling! I think I am going to buy myself a new pair of Nike's as a gift to myself when I get there.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
