6 Months and 99 Pounds Lost w Pic

Recommended Posts

You look so great and are very inspiring to those of us still waiting for surgery! I've been concerned lately about looking much older once I lose this weight (saggy, wrinkly, etc). So your picture came at just the right time!! Thanks for sharing! I get sleeved on 4/3, and can't wait to see my results!

You look incredible!! Could you ever have imagined posting a picture of your bare stomach 6 months ago? Just amazing results.

Yesterday was my 6 month surgiversary and I cannot be more pleased with this journey. I have so much more energy, have discovered a hidden runner inside me, am more active with my kiddos, and all-around more confident.

You look amazing, and are truly an inspiration to me who is just starting!

Haha. NO! I would have died first! I'm still not that thrilled with my stomach, but, hey.... it's a heck of a lot better! :-)

My surgery is March 25, and seeing your picture today just made me happy and even more excited for surgery. Reading blogs on hair loss, bat wings and saggy skin was depressing yesterday. Great job on your weight loss. You are a true inspiration!!

What type of exercise are you doing?

I'm on the 25th too! I was crying last night thinking about some of the skin pictures I have seen.

You look great woman! What was your start weight?

livvsmum please share an example of what a day looks like for you food wise! How many calories on average? Did you also do a ton of exercise for the past 6 months?

FYI- my boyfriend is from Tunkhannock! We live in NJ right now, but we visit a few times a year and drive through Clarks-Summit lol. Nice town!

Thank you! I'm glad I could help! Right now I'm training for a 5k so I do 60 minutes of cardio 3x a week.

I'm glad I can help! I do have a little excess skin, but I haven't started toning yet. It's totally worth it though!!

My starting weight was 278.4

It's a small world! Lol. I'm pretty boring as far as food goes. I've found things that work & stick with them. Breakfast is usually a Protein shake, lunch is usually chicken salad, or some version of Protein (lean), dinner is more chicken/fish/occasionally a red meat & maybe a little veggie. Snacks usually include Greek yogurt (my favorite), a fat free cheese stick, or a 1/2 serving oh peanuts. I try to always stick to my numbers (no more than 40g carbs, at least 65 protein, and try for 100 oz of water). Those are the magic numbers for me :-) I don't worry too much about calories at this point. I average 500-600 on a high day. As for exercise, like I said above I am training for a 5k so interval training for 60 minutes 3 times a week...nothing too major :-)

You can also friend request me in myfitnesspal if you want. I track every single thing. That has been huge for me. My name on there is livvsmum

Omg. You were beautiful before but you honestly look like a college kid now. 99 pounds in 6 months it unbelievable. I'm three weeks out. Can you share what you're eating and exercises you're doing. Keep up the great work.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
