Bandsters in DFW area over 50?

Can anyone tell me what pre-op tests they had to have, what type of pre-op diet... if you have high blood pressure etc. and what doctor did the banding?

Calling today for my appointment...but I want to make sure I've got the right Doctor for me.

Well, she did a stress test, blood work, psych evaluation, ekg. The doctor that did the stress test put her on some blood pressure meds, but she has been off of them for about a year, now. If I remember correctly, that was about the extent of it. The pre-op diet was liquids for two weeks prior to surgery. They told us this was in order to shrink the liver a bit to facilitate the band surgery a little easier. My wife was banded by Dr. J from Richardson, TX.
