What's on your menu for dinner tonight?

Good evening everyone,

I going to be 4 weeks post-op tomorrow. I feel terrific! I was given the green light last Friday for pureed foods. So far I've managed three nights on scrambled eggs and now two nights with haddock with garlic sauce-it's the Gortons baked in a bag and pureed nicely. So good! I've added a bit of butternut squash that's pureed too. I've had no issues so far with these.

So let's see what you all are eating. I've been experimenting on my family with a cookbook my best friend used when she was sleeved. Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery. It has different stages, surgeries and portion sizes. It's great and the food has turned out to be very tasty-at least my hubby and kids think so!

Fire away about your meals-I am loving cooking these days!

Nell

That's great! I am 3 weeks out, I would love to know where you got the weight loss book at? I went to Barnes and noble and couldn't find nothing on weight loss surgery, not even cookbooks. Has for dinner tonight I am having a yoplat coconut yogurt....yum

I had 3-4 oz of almond crusted flounder, and was stuffed, I'm almost 8 weeks post op

I got three books (including the one listed) off of Amazon.

I am eating Turkey meatloaf (my hubbie's recipe - with mushrooms and cilantro) with steamed brussel sprouts - yum!

I actually grabed a Wendy's chili on the run. (3 ounces) First time I visited a fast food joint since surgery.

I'm having some tortilla-less carne asada tacos.

I'm 4 weeks post op as well. I went out for Mexican food with friends. I shared fajitas with my husband but all I ate were a couple of small strips of chicken and some refried beans. It was yummy but my head wanted more than I could eat.

Had part of a Mexican tostada chicken steak salad my first decent take out in 7 months so good!

I been on the run all day, so I had a Muscle milk, strawberry and cream (11 oz, 20 grams of protein.

Leftovers. I am having chicken Soup from La Pinata. Chicken breast chunks, with potatoes, carrots and avocado. Delicious, and tender. It's taking me forever to finish it though. I think I'm good for one more night.

The wife has a batch of Chile cooking for when I get home. Low on the Beans heavy on the ground turkey. This was my favorite during the pureed stage.
