thewigster: that's amazing. how long is your preop diet, and what are you allowed to have?

I have been preOp since I started the

Program in Nov last year. My program requires I see a dietician every month. Up until the last two weeks I was just following weight watchers. Lost 20 doing that. Then they upped the ante and put me on one meal replacement shake and 1300 calorie diet with dietician appointments every week. Been doing that for the last two weeks and have lost 15. I have my preOp appt with my surgeon next week and have now met his weight loss requirements. Not sure what comes next. Surgery is march 17.

Day 6 down 9.8 lbs..hope to be down 20 total by next Thursday. ...The big day 3/6

I have mine on the 6 th as well!! I can't wait.

I didn't do pre op diet. I was scheduled to have surgery on the 21st of January and I was starting college on the 13th, so I declined surgery date. I did not want to encounter any complications after surgery and have to miss class, since I'm in my final semester. I spoke with doctor and he advised that I would not do pre op diet, and just have surgery on the 7th
