Hi, my name is Jessica. I am a married 33 year old SAHM of a 13 1/2 month old little girl and uterine cancer survivor. On Valentines day my MIL and I both had gastric sleeve surgery, so we are 10 days out. I am so tired of this liquid diet. Ok, the liquids aren't that bad. The protein shakes are atrocious and I'm not sure how much longer I can gag them down. I have always had a problem with "fake" sweeteners so I think the headache is from them. I lost 11 pounds in the 5 day pre diet surgery and have lost 14 more pounds. I weighed 286 before the pre liquid diet and am currently at 261. I have 0 appetite though I am always thirsty and am constantly sipping water. I can't stand anything sweet right now and everything taste sweet, even water (I add lemon juice). Other then that, I feel fine. With a very active 13 month old I have yet to start my walks again, chasing after her takes it out of me. I have gone for walks but don't quite have the energy for the walks I was doing pre surgery (was at 2.5-3 miles at least 4 days a week). I miss eating, the taste of food, but I don't really crave it. I wanted sorbet so bad, had a bite, was done. My MIL had French fries today ( on day 10 - yikes) and the thought of eating them made my tummy gurgle in protest. Anyway, it has not been a pleasant week and a half but I'm sure things get better! My goal is 150, I have 111 pounds to go.
