Feb 2007 Bandsters: April Challenge

Recommended Posts

I have a z pack too. The pills split very nicely and I was able to take both of them though I waited about 2 minutes in between each piece. I don't ever get sick so this really does suck for me.

I am trying really hard to get my Water in today. I want to get the exercise in too I think that might be pushing it.

I am waaay better today. I made it to work and I feel really good. I spent most of the weekend sleeping which helped. Unfortunatly I seemed to have passed it on to all my cowrkers as they are all getting sick. Oops. I am glad to hear that you are feeling better.

I'm walking my butt off, and drinking so much Water that I can hardly make it back from my walk without having to walk funny, 'cause I have to pee!!! I've been walking (very briskly) for 15 minutes on my morning break, at least 15 minutes on my lunch hour, and another 15 minutes on my afternoon break. Every weekday, anyway. I'm really bad about posting on this thread, but I'm still hanging in there for the challenge!

I was wondering if you swing your arms as you walk? My Physical Therapist just told me the other day that when you swing your arms as you walk you will burn three times the calories compared to walking alone .They have me use a machine that is named nustep it is a cross training machine and you use arms and legs together. I was amazed to know that about using your arms and legs together to burn three times as much.

Finally feeling like myself again!! Hoping to start working out at the gym again soon. I've only had one fill so far...not having trouble with the amounts, but those bad habits of bad food sure do haunt me!!

Okay – this thread has been quiet lately. Perhaps, in the silence, I’m just projecting my case of the blahs onto the rest of you, but I have to ask… Is it just me, or has anybody else fallen off the wagon?

I’ve slacked on my Water sooo much, and have not been on the treadmill in almost a week! Egad! I’m eating fine (though I am hungry between meals, which is a 1st since my banding), but that’s about all I’m doing right.

I need to get my tuchus back in gear again…but…well…….. The Pod Person I’d really come to like has vanished, and good ol’ lazy Suzanne is back. I have no motivation, no drive, no energy… I am sure this has to do directly with having stopped the very things I can’t seem to start again: water & exercise.

I’m trying to pump myself up for the April challenge once more, but I just can’t seem to do it! Not even attending (our good & very informative) local support group meeting helped, so I thought I’d check in with the rest of y’all. Maybe this bit of a whine… er, I mean…um… confession will prove cathartic!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
