I have found that the lemonade crystal light does give me a little heartburn, but not enough to keep me from drinking it.

I have never had either of those drinks but I drink the sugar free Walmart brand stuff and its doesnt cause heartburn. If I eat any thing with more then 5 carbs I feel the burn though

If I drink plain Water its like a stupid brick in my gut, I dislike plain Water. The only way I can drink water is with some additive to make it less dense.

The only thing that truly gives me heartburn is carbs and sugar. Things I avoid anyway.

Do whats best for you. Good luck!

Anything with citrus acid usually gives me acid reflux so I am concerned about the fruity drinks. I guess I'll have to try them. Funny though sodas don't bother me at all.

Hi Wigster,

Crystal Light gives me the worst heartburn (all flavors). I drank it for about a week and had to eat about 6 Pepcid chewables every day. It's tough to drink plain Water and I haven't found a good non-heartburny alternative.

My surgeon is concerned that with the sleeve surgery that my acid reflux will get considerably worse and I am worried about that. I know myself and I know that after awhile the chocolate and strawberry and vanilla shakes will get old and I will want something different so was thinking about the Isopures. But if they are really acidic then they will not be a good option for me. I don't get sleeved until March 17th so I am trying to nail down my options before surgery. Thanks for the replies!

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
