Super happy! Surgery/time off from work accepted, I'm on my way!

Seriously feel like doing an ugly happydance on my livingroom floor. My mom agreed to lend me the money for surgery. My boss permitted me to take vacation time off in week 18-19-20! There is a really good chance that I can have the operation at that time. Just waiting for the last "ok" to april 29'th from my surgeon. Yes yes yes! I never thought that surgery could be a possibility for me so I am just sooo thrilled! :-) Just had to share the joy. Weeee!

That's great!! I'm so happy for you. My surgeon told me 4-6 weeks out if work.. I def have to stay out for 2 weeks and hope to back after that.. It seems everyone varies on this.

Glad all is set, congrats!

Doesn't your company offer FMLA?

I don't know what that stands for, I live in Denmark. Since it is an operation I have chosen myself and not anything unexpected or threatening I have decided to take vacation instead of sick leave. I am still happy though. In Denmark we get 6 weeks paid vacation pr. year so it's pretty good still.

Glad all is set, congrats!

awesome!!! I'd LOVE 6 weeks!!! FMLA is here in the States...stands for Family Medical Leave Act... when you have surgery, etc. it basically allows you time off without working about being fired (losing job)
