Breakfast suggestions

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!

I'm in need of some new Breakfast ideas. I'm getting bored with eggs and egg whites. What do you all eat?

Thanks!

I have a Protein Shake for breakfast, and sugar free Greek yogurt for a morning snack - or vice versa, depending on how rushed and thirsty I am first thing in the morning.

Greek yogurt or cottage cheese w/fruit, or sometimes just leftover meat from the night before. I tried steel cut oats one morning, but Sleevie Ray is not ready for that yet.

My breakfast is almost always a scrambled egg with cheese and a Jimmy Dean turkey sausage patty.

When I feel like I need to mix things up a bit, I might do a Health Wise oatmeal (I chose that because of the Protein value) or I might have a Protein shake w/ some berries to add a little bulk. I will also do 1/2 of a Quest bar - I heat mine up in the microwave for about 15-20 seconds.

If you're able to handle an apple, 1/2 an apple with some Peanut Butter would be a good choice as well.

~Cottage cheese with pineapple or lemon curd.

~"Migas" - scrambled eggs with salsa, turkey sausage and a little cheese (Classic migas is also scrambled with corn tortilla chips...I am avoiding chips for now...but a couple may not hurt and really makes a big difference)

~Apples with Peanut Butter if you can handle it

Every morning I eat 1/2 c. Raisin Bran with a little Lactose free milk...it keeps me regular and I love the taste of the Raisins...

I have a Light and Fit Greek yogurt pretty much very morning. Sometimes with a little granola to add texture. Otherwise, a Protein Bar or shake.

Most every morning I start with a shake. powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chocolate Splendor, skim milk and ice in a blender. I vary it by adding PB2, or a banana. I just purchased Chike coffee Protein powder and mix a 1/2 scoop with 1/2 scoop of the Unjury for a great mocha taste. Syntrax Nectars Fuzzy Navel and Water taste like OJ.

Today I had a scrambled egg with 1/2 a chicken sausage on a sunday morning

I struggle with Protein, so I start the day with a Quest bar (prefer the Apple or the Wild Berry). My morning snack is usually cottage cheese or a low-fat "Gogurt."

I've never been one to eat specific foods at specific meal times, so...

I am out of the door very early, so my Breakfast is most often travel friendly. Ham and cheese roll ups with avocado, beef Jerky and a cheese stick, a trail mix of almonds, peanuts and raisins, bacon and avocado wrapped in a tortilla.

If I am at home, refried Beans and cheese, scrambled eggs with cheese and salsa, crustless quiche.

Mmmmmm. I love quiche!

I cook up a pound of Jennie O ground turkey sausage and use it through the week. A slice of low fat cheddar cheese mixed in the meat then microwave for 45 seconds. Add a dollop of light sour cream and some salsa. Delicious in two minutes.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
