Probiotics...what brand and type do you feel are best?

Been reading that many use probiotics for their constipation...was looking on the CVS website and there are TONS... I know I need to look at carbs and such; that's why I'm asking for help here...what are the recommendations? I NEED HELP!!!

Thanks

I usually don't buy special bariatric anything -- I'm convinced that special bariatric vitamins and calcium and whatnot are overpriced scams. That said, I've been taking the Bariatric Advantage probiotic chewables every day since surgery and I have had zero problems with constipation, nausea, gas, anything like that. I don't know if that's attributable to the probiotic but I guess it isn't hurting! The ones I get are strawberry flavored and taste fine.

I bought probiotics at Walgreen's pharmacy. I went in looking for the Align brand, but they did not have in stock. I had also heard good things about pearls, but the ones I saw you had to take more than one a day. I bought a probiotic that is a gel cap ( was thinking easier digestion) and only take one a day. I do forget the brand name, but they are small darker red gel caps. They have definitely helped me a GREAT deal. As I told another poster I was having some pretty serious constipation issues. (not impacted but heading that way) I also suffered from a LOT of gas. Once I started the probiotics I became much more regular ( I may skip a day now and then, but mostly everyday) and the gas and bloating is less. So, for me, they have been awesome.

I don't know how to put in what you said into my "box", Bufflehead...however, are they are powder chewable or more of a gummy? I hate powder chewables...thanks...

They are powdery, so definitely not what you want! And btw, to get the little quote box, highlight what you want to put in the box and then click the "Quote" button. At least, that's how you do it on the website, not sure about the app.

FINALLY FOUND THE BUTTON!!!!

Learning day by day :)

I may try a bottle, just to see, but I tried a bariatric powdery chewable Vitamin right after surgery and hated trying to get them down...thanks again!
