Air and burping

This maybe a crazy question.... But.. Does anyone else have "issues" with burping? I can't just burp. I have to rock back and forth or have my back patted to burp (like a baby). Occasionally bending over will help to.

Was banded 9/3/13 and currently am empty. Have lost over 50# and am waiting for my EGD to make sure I don't have an erosion.

Just wondering if others have this or am I "special" lol.

i find myself pounding my chest often - it's like there's a bubble in my chest and that helps - it's becoming a habit and people who don't know see me doing it and ask if I'm ok - I think it's a response from the pressure in our chests from stuff taking it's time going down... that's my 2 cents.

Sometimes when I gulp too fast or swallow something hot too fast I get that feeling and it's hard to burp out that stuck air. Standing up or walking around usually helps me.

I also have issues sometimes with burbs. My esophagus helps move the food down past the band but there's nothing to push the air back up! It's such a relief when it does!
