Any ideas on the time frame. I know I'm not ready yet. However I did order a new callaway driver and I want to try it. Also, can anyone say if it helped their game. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My doctor said 6 weeks and to take it easy at first. I did wait the 6 weeks. I have not had a chance to go as much as I would like recently so not sure if it has helped my game. I can tell you though when I have gone I have been able to complete 18 without being anywhere near as tired.

On a side note send that Callaway back and pick up some Taylor Made or Adams clubs!! :D

Thanks for the help. I've never tried Adams, I don't like Taylor made at all tho. I don't like callaway irons tho. Only the xhot 1, if you haven't tried one get to dicks and demo one. Very innovative club. I have went thru the motions SLOWLY. Still a pull inside by my belly button.

Oh, on a side note. I went into dicks simulator and bought the longest straightest driver for ME.

Anytime, I have not had a chance to try the xshot but will. I actually work for Adams so trying it is as about as far as it would go. LOL. Just a shameless plug for the company! Our new XTD's are pretty awesome. We are the best in Hybrids hands down.

Looking for a good mid groove 56-60 wedge. Adams got anything decent there?

I'm an avid golfer and a month out from my scheduled date. Since it's been a while, how long was it before you were good to go?

I have a charity scramble that I organize a month after surgery. I was hoping to try to play in it if possible. I thought if nothing else, I might just chip and putt since there are 3 other guys.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Upadate: 3 weeks for me.

I'm now 7 weeks out from my surgery and have played multiple rounds of golf. My surgeon's advice was that I could basically play as soon as my body let me. My first attempt was 2.5 weeks after my surgery. I was scared so went at it very lightly. I only played about 5 holes and didn't swing hard at all. It was ok, but, not normal.

I ended up playing league the following week which was 3 weeks and 2 days after my surgery. I played pretty much my normal game and felt good the entire time, until... I had a shot where I needed to get it up over a tree quickly so I swung fairly hard and I could feel it. I was scared that I screwed up. It felt like a pull in my stomach and I noticed it the rest of the round. I asked my doctor and he said I would be fine as I had my follow-up appointment later that week.

By the time I hit my appointment, I was feeling fine again. My doctor said not to worry about it, that it was likely just a pulled muscle that I hadn't worked for a while. So, I was able to go about my golfing and continue on. So, in a nutshell, it was 3 weeks for me. I will say that I struggled at the end of the year, a lot of because of my weight loss I think and not being used to my new swing. Looking forward to getting it back next season!

I ended up being 5 weeks I believe. Mainly due to weather tho. I've now play probably 75 round or more since than and it amazing. I've lost 206 pounds now. My swing is so different and so enjoyable.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
