Long way to go, but a decent start.

As I'm sure most of you can relate to, I have always struggled with my weight. I had previously looked into surgery, but my insurance didn't cover it at all. I had an opportunity arise to pull the trigger on having the surgery. I had my surgery on 12/2/13. I am currently down 84 lbs since my very first pre-op apt. I still have a long way to go, but I think I'm off to a fairly decent start.

Thanks, it's been hard trying to break old habits, but the pros are definitely going to outweigh any emotional cons.

I'm glad you understood what I meant...lol...I just noticed it was supposed to say fantastic weight loss.

Yes it's hard breaking those habits...but the tool you have now is going to help you break them.

Haha, I really even didn't notice it. The hospital and surgeon I used also have a support group that meets monthly. I haven't gone yet, but I plan to.

I think support groups are a fantastic way to help keep you on track and also to keep you motivated.

So happy for you.....you're off to a fantastic start!
