It's been a while since I posted last, but I have continued to work out 5 to 6 days a week. I'm up to 9 miles in 49 minutes on my friend the elliptical!!! I'll try to post more often.

Did my yoga today, as well as Sat. & Sun. I've also been using my exercise ball with my resistance bands in the afternoon, it takes me about 30 mins.to get through the resistance exercises and with the yoga is about 45 mins. My stamina has improved greatly and boy they both make me work up a sweat.

Also, I'm headed out the door to go hike a five mile trail near my house. The weather is beautiful and I just want to be outside in it!

Great job everyone!

Todays 5 mile run felt really good! I think the break last week ( three days ) was what my body and mind needed. Ran strictly by HR today, targeting 85-87% of my max HR.

I think I will target a 9:09/mile for my Memorial day biathlon....followed by the bike ride.

I'd like to get another Half Marathon in UNDER 2:00 this year, so I need to get the 5 mile time around 8:55.

I made it to a boxing class yesterday morning. I've rounded up my group to go again Thursday. It's an awesome hour of therapy. Every punch releases a little bit of stress.

Did my Yoga and attempted to match my movements with the more difficult poses. Also, did my resistance bands exercises. I am hurting today after my hike yesterday. Muscles are aching where I didn't even know I had muscles.

But, I'm feeling accomplished!!

I get so excited when I am in the pool to exercise...in 45 minutes I did all of my leg/ab exercises and actually found out only 1/2 mile is done when I do 16 back and forths, so this week I have upped my ante...walked my first 1/2 miles and then my exercises and then I walk 1/2 mile again...did them all in 45 minutes...this is really great for me anyways. LOL!!! Going to start going on Saturday mornings too starting this week...Yeah Me!!! Sorry a bit on happy street this morning...finally I am down too although its unofficial 44 lbs!!! Hope you all have a great day.!!!!!

Did my yoga, I'm still pushing myself to do the moderate poses. Geez Louise yoga makes me sweat! My dogs were very rambunctious this morning so I took them on a walk. We were gone for about an hr. I guess I need to invest in a pedometer.

It's overcast and a little humid here in MO. Suddenly I hear Little Orphan Annie singing... The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow. Oh! Geez...that's going to be stuck in my head for awhile. Sorry!!

Update: I've been wanting to start running, but I keep telling myself I can't because of my health issues. My Dr. told me to go slow and see how I feel. So, today I downloaded Couch-to-5k.

Wish me luck!

Yesterday I did week 8 day 2 of C25K and had my personal best time yet. Went to the gym after with my sister and lifted for 45 minutes then did another 35 minutes on the elliptical.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
