Vitamins and exercise, at least for the last month. I've had the flu twice in the past month and just when I thought I was going to get back to exercising, I pull a back muscle. I'm only 7 weeks out, but I wanted to make the most of this time. Every time something happens it chips away at my motivation to exercise.

drinking enough Water. Right after the surgery I was able to sip water and did get the 96 oz a day most days. However, in the past few months I have not been keeping up with this goal. I average 30 oz a day. I know I need to drink more but don't seem to be able to keep up with the "sipping" all day long. I can take 5-6 swallows at one time and then forget to drink again for a few hours.

LOL does anyone get in the recommended amount. On a good day, I can get in 4-5 cups but honestly our stomachs are just smaller, not to mention drinking can sometimes hurt. I'm guessing this will become easier the further we progress though.

Getting my Vitamins in! Ugh, I don't know what my problem is, but I've noticed if it's a super busy Saturday, I'll notice on Sunday that I forgot to take half of them from the day before. I have to space most of them out because they make me feel sick. Any advice to this would be helpful!

Struggling with vitamins too and thinking of maybe switching to regular vitamins so I at least want to take it. The bariatric ones taste gross, chalky and take forever to dissolve. I've started dreading having these pills in my mouth for up to an hour before dissolving

My surgeon and nutritionist have always said that two Flintstone's chewable vitamins are just fine. At least you don't have to wait for them to dissolve and they taste OK. :)

Carbs! Gawd I hate that word! I have an obsession with trying to stay under 50 and lately have been going over. It's going to drive me nuts :)

Exercise...I did so good the first 2.5 months. I walked 45 mins a day fast paced then...pulled my groin muscle. Ignored it thinking a few weeks and it would be ok. Waited 4 weeks tried to walk and f me it hurt, waited a few more weeks tryd again, tryd a bunch (bout once a week) hurt. So now 2 months have gone by and I finally went to see the dr. X-rays are fine but I now have to go to physical therapy. All motivation is lost now (sigh)

eating slowly ... I think that tops just about everyones list!

pre-planning well... I do have things in the frig for my meals, but I don't really "plan"

fortunately, with my job, I get my Water in as I bring a jug of ice water from home every day (clean water system at home)...and Vitamins I keep at work, so I don't have a problem there either

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
