It is good to see that our group is losing weight after their plateaus. I hope that everything is going well. My plateau lifted almost 2 weeks ago. I have been losing not quite a pound a day. I have lost 11 pounds in 13 days. But I have run into vertigo. My doctor has put me on anti-vertigo meds while she waits to get my blood results back. But she did say it is most likely due to losing weight so quickly combined with my low blood pressure and low heart rate. I have been taking my Vitamins and eating as I should (roughly 900-1200 calories a day with at least 60 grams of protein). I am also getting exercise using Zumba Rush at home or my recent purchase of beginners yoga. I am just hoping that the vertigo goes away soon. I am beginning to think that I lose roughly 15-20 lbs and then hit a plateau so my body catches up before it crashes. Anyone else suffer from almost debilitating dizzy spells?

I haven't had vertigo but I do have a whooshing sound in my right ear at times. It drives me crazy when I'm trying to sleep at times. It's not as loud as it use to be. I had to get an MRI on my head. It showed one of my sinuses are narrower. My hearing test came out fine. I also had an ultrasound on my neck but I haven't found out the results from that.

It started about 2 weeks after surgery. I think it had something to do with the weight loss. I don't notice it as much now since it's not as loud, but it's still happening.

Sorry to hear about your vertigo. Hopefully it will get better with time. : )

It's so crazy how weight loss will affect us.

I have another scope tomorrow and I have another stricture. I am down 64 pounds and just wanna eat without throwing up. I have been in pain from it. My weight loss has slowed a bit but I haven't been going full force at the gym like I have been. I am going back on Clear Liquids tomorrow and I have to start out again on the food stages but I am looking at this like another opportunity to jumpstart my weight loss.

My goal is 800 but I get between 650 and 800. Most days I'm closer to 800 but I feel like I'm eating all the time. Lol

My calories are between 800 to 1000 but mostly 1000 range and I think I am eating too much. I don't see my Dr and nutritionist till mid may to find out if I should change anything. My weight loss is extremely slow like antwhere from only 1-2 lbs. per week. I have noticed the lower calories I eat the less I lose. That don't seem right but that's the way it is going with me :(. But I will take it even though it is slow the weight is still coming off :)

I have been averaging anywhere from 700-800 calories per day. I mostly concentrate on what I am putting in my mouth and how much. Trying not too worry about calories too much yet but I do wonder what is optimal. My small victory is that I haven't had any "stuck" episodes for a week or so which makes eating a little more enjoyable and not a game of Russian roulette of the tummy. But don't get me wrong, I don't plan on getting too adventurous quite yet. It has been a long couple of months, but well worth the results. My other small victory came in the mail today. My secondary insurance wasn't going to pick up the remainder of my hospital bill and I got a summary today showing that they just wrote a check and that I didn't owe anything. Maybe they decided losing weight was a good investment. Hoping everyone is enjoying little victories this week and feeling better. We all deserve it.

Hello my fellow Jan. losers :-)

Can I ask how everyone is feeling. More energized? Less energized? I'm exhausted come nightfall. food has been challenging as I'm Lactose intolerant but I'm trudging along. This weekend I was at a family party and I got lots of comments on my weight loss. I've been wearing a huge sweatshirt all winter and I was actually in form fitting clothes. Hope everyone is doing well.

Hopefully someone will come back now that it is April. No posts since January. I had my surgery on 1/13 and am feeling great - not too happy with weight loss (I guess I thought it would just fall off. I started the program @ 242, day of surgery 231.5 and now weight 196. I know I am not getting enough Protein so started drinking shake this morning to make sure and have read from others that this helps in weight loss. Seem to be at a standstil for the past week. Any thoughts?

I find myself at a standstill after every 10-15 pounds. I lose roughly a pound a day for a few weeks, and then around the time that PMS starts it stops. But once the monthly event is over, it starts dropping again. I guess my body can't handle two "traumatic events" at one time. I have started drinking a Protein Shake very morning. I have found that it is easier to make sure I have Breakfast and it helps keep me under 1000 calories, sometimes I hit 1200 calories. My nutritionist says to aim for between 800-1000 calories a day. But of course I am heavier than you (starting wt 448 surgery weight 379 current weight 334). But I am happy that it is coming off without any major problems. Great job losing!!!

I haven't noticed a change in energy yet...but I have noticed I am so exhausted at night sometimes and without reason. Happy to hear you are doing good on weight loss and people are noticing :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
