Sorry to hear about your stricture. I'm not even sure what that is but I'm sure your in good hands and will make a speedy recovery.

I am beyond frustrated...I have been getting my exercise and my caloric intake spawns a daily, "Your calories are too low" warning from MyFitnessPal because I don't get at least 1200 calories in a day. But I am in a dreaded plateau and have been for weeks. I am ready to cry. And having to rely on prescription "water pills" doesn't help matters. Sorry just had to vent. Anyone have any advice to help me through this either to push past it?

Lhargis sorry to hear of your frustration. I'm sure someone will have some great feedback for you here. I can only sympathize as I too am a slooooowwwwwwww loser despite my efforts. Everyone says plateaus are just a part of it and it will pass. I've heard to up the Protein and Water intake and that has done the trick.

Lhargis- I have been in a stall myself for about 2 wks. Very frustrating!!! I did increase my Water and Protein and exercise. My dr kept telling me be patient, you will start to lose again. They were right. It was so hard but I did all those those things above and avoided the scale and this morning I'm down 4 pounds. I know it is frustrating and discouraging but hang in there!!! You will start to lose again!!!! Good luck!!

Just got discharged from the hospital. I go to my surgeons hospital tomorrow to get a scope done to see where I am bleeding from. I am staying overnight there too. Hopefully it's all decent news and if not I'll be in the place that can fix it.

I'm 5 weeks post op today. I haven't weighed myself in a while. I'm scared to step on a scale and not see results.

I'm having a little issue with the Protein Shakes. I'm so bored with them. I'm naucious thinking about them much less drinking them. Anyone else sick of them and if so how have you changed it up?

I have been cleared for full diet and I am down a few more pounds since my last check up. A total of 102 lbs lost in the past 11 months with 36 lbs lost since surgery (according to my nutritionist). Woot.... If I keep this up I will reach my goal of 250 lbs (10 lbs a month) by the end of the year. I am getting back into Zumba and look forward to getting the new Zumba with the riser to tone and dance at the same time.

I am doing so much better. I have another EDG scheduled for the 26th to make sure that it don't develop another stricture but I am so glad that I can eat now without throwing up. I actually had some Wendy's chili and had about half and settled good.

I feel like I'm over eating because I'm always hungry. I'm down 40 lbs since my January 21 surgery date. I've started the c25k app and some calisthenics to begin strength training. Could that be the increased hunger?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
