So I guess the stomach noises and burping are all normal...I haven;'t thrown up or felt nauseated

and I have learned that when I say...one more bite..DONT DO IT

I have done that twice now because I feel like I should be eating more volume and I felt like I would pre surgery and ate a thanksgiving diiner and too much pie!

Scrambled eggs with very small pieces of bacon. Tasted like heaven the first time...not so much the second time. It lasted less than 10 minutes before making its reappearance. I felt horrible for hours afterwards. I'm at 5 months and too scared to try them again.

The only other issues I have had were from to much of a good thing. Then I spend the next couple of hours regretting eating that last little bit of food. I have learned to not take that last bite of anything.

I still prefer yogurt, cottage cheese and Soups.

Yep. Too much of a good thing is my problem too. And I hate that it varies. One day I can eat a whole scrambled egg, the next day the last few bites come right back out again! My baby sleeve is very cantankerous!

My NUT said no raw veggies or fruit until 3 months out. You'll be able to eat them again! Don't worry!

Wendy's Chili mimicked dumping for me. It was awful. I had to throw up, sweating, severe stomach pain and I nearly fainted. I won't be having it ever again. I'm nearly 5 weeks out.

I still can't seem to eat tuna, or really anything with Mayonnaise yet. Sadly, I can't eat even 1 bite of baked potato, although mashed goes down ok. Sometimes eggs - over easy or scrambled - will disagree with me. For all these foods, they sit in my stomach like a rock and totally make me regret eating them. Oh, also boiled eggs and deviled eggs are hard to take these days. The fluffier the egg, the better my tummy can handle it, in small portions. I'm ok with white meat chicken now, but at 6 weeks I could only do the dark meat and I didn't enjoy the taste of chicken at all. I've gotten over that now. I don't really eat fruit or veggies, but I am able to handle super steamed broccoli, which I know give some people the fits.

One food that I enjoyed pre-op but can't eat now is cottage cheese. I think I ate too much of it pre-op, and now it tastes totally sour to me. Doesn't matter what fat %, etc, it all tastes sour now.

I'm in my 4th month now. Eating "new" foods can be an adventure, especially if I'm in public or with friends (none of whom know I had surgery) - I've actually had to stand up from the dinner table and pretend to look at a picture on the wall in order to give my tummy room to stretch or I was going to throw up right then and there. I tried to act natural! LOL

Just wondering what does your diet consist of? Is there a "got to" or "staple" food that you can trust?

Beware of rice,

Take my advice,

Dear sisters and brothers,

It doesn't play well with others.

I eat rice all the time with no issues. To the original poster, everyone is different.. Yes we all have a common thread but you will, through trial and error figure out what works for you.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
