Newbie

Hello All,

I am new here. I'm having surgery on Jan. 28th. I'm scared to death and very excited. I look forward to and hope I've found an online community that is active to share my hopes, fears, and accomplishments with as well as learn from those who have been there. I had a lap band in 2007 but have lost only approx 50 lbs. so I've decided to go for the gastric bypass which is what I wanted to do to begin with but was too afraid to go through with it.

I look forward to meeting everyone

Yes my surgery is the 28th also. I haven't bought anything but some broth yet. Lol I go Thursday to meet with the dietician & do pre op tests. My friend had surgery Friday with the same dr I'm using he came through good & already lost 10lbs. I'm nervous but hoping for the best.

How awesome to have a friend with same doctor do it too! My friend is doing it but not until April. I did all my pre-op. I'm ready, I think.

Good luck to all you January newbies, I'm scheduled for Fed. 17th and am getting very excited. I found a great site for vitamins and the prices are amazing and they even have done bariatric specific stuff (pipingrock.com) check it out and I will be anxious to see how you do :-)

Yeah he's been telling me what to expect , sent me pics of his hospital dinners. Lol he's not just a friend he's my lawyer too lol.
