I just wanted to jump in and say I'm scheduled for surgery with Dr. Cabrera on March 5th at Mi Doctor. I saw his name and had to post. I'm going to come back when I'm done so we can compare notes.

Ok ty so is 430 in the morning and I'm here just waking up at the the area. Yesterday was a little crazy I know it'll make it here.

So let me tell you about what happened yesterday. The day before I left Victor called me to make sure what day I was arriving at the time. He said he'll pick me up at 330 at San Diego Airport. the day of the departure was chaotic. I stayed for five and a half hours at the airport because my plane was delayed three times. I never thought I was going to make it here the snow is crazy in Chicago. Anyhow, I kept communication open with willie and victor the drivers. We also called me today before I left the little bit after victor so I knew one of them to have to pick me up but he said that victor had something else to do so he would pick me up. Finally arrived at San Diego around 845 pm Willie called me I told him where I was I meant was I ever happy to get into a car. The drive was not bad it would be shorter but there was a train took about 30 minutes to get to the Marriott. Once I arrived he took me to registration by then I've noticed that I didn't have any signal in Mexico since wifi was free I was able to place wifi calls . I arrived late so the coordinator Tatiana was already gone. They told me that once I was in my room to dial zero can be transferred over. So I didn't she told me that will be picked up up 645 in the morning and taken to the Hospital there will be probably operating today at 9. I was really hungry when I arrived at the Marriott so I had the broth and Jello boy I never thought I'd be so happy my like to see that nasty stuff I ate like there was no tomorrow. That is all for now folks I'll keep you posted about the operation but the experience here hasn't been bad. Rooms are ok ppl are nice as they can be. Im prayinf everthing goes well toda.

Ok. I guess traffic is pretty bad the driver was late this morning to pick us up. I met a buddy karen also came alone from PA she's having surgery with a different doctor Lopez. Anyhow driver pick us up and we made it here I was first on the list they call me downstairs to get my blood work done. After that they took me to my room , a little nervous still if you nurses veronica susie my cordinator was niecy nice lady also have surgery with doctor pepper she's great . I have doctors around come talk to me before surgery his intern also and the anesthesiologist. after that the wheelchair driver take me to the operating room. It was so quick I was sleep in a moment's notice.

When I woke up have been a pain so they gave me a pain shot made it so much better. Then after that there was really no pain only a little nauseous and hiccups when I get up which are annoying. I'm not hungry at all, the drains are in don't hurt but I'm just so tired and exhausted I've been asleep all day. I got up a couple hours ago to see Karen my buddy. She seemed OK but then I was up feelin naseous came back here to my room and lay down.

I'll keep you guys updated if anything changes about to go to bed again tired

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
