The first few days they say sip sip sip. What a joke! It's more like barely dipped your upper lip into the Water = sip. Gets better (for most of us) pretty quickly though

Ha! It really is. I had a night nurse get lippy with me about it..she scolded me for sipping my liquid percocet to slow. So I turned the tables on her. Asked her to coach me threw dirnking the little cup of red liquid. She did. I thanked her and then I finslly had an idea of exactly what sort of sips they meant. Otherwise I would not have known.

-------------------- Hi Seela, I hope you feel better too!! My son used to work for a family Tea business. He just left to San Diego right now to get certified as a Tea Master. He's the one that made me peppermint tea leaves when I got home from hospital to relieve my horrible gas pains and it was and still is my miracle make my tummy feel good tea and reliefs gas too. If anyone would like advise on which teas to make and drink send me a private message. He's will be selling organic teas soon. He makes all his teas from loose leaves hot and cool refreshing ones. And ginger teas are delishes and healthy for us. I have been experience blurry vision. I'm assuming it's related to not enough Vitamins but will let y'all know how feeling by Friday since I was able to drink them all today.

-----------------------

Had my 8wk post-op appt and my surgeon said my blurry vision may be due to possibly low Vitamin A, so I have to go do lab work. He request full panel if all Vitamins and thyroid.

I feel relieved somewhat to learn it is related to not enough vitamins and know I will be able to see better in time.

I'm also having pain on right side if stomach somewhat by rib cage, not too bad, but pain does come on suddenly, some days more than others. It's not gas, so todo him about it to and apparently I should if been taking Meds for gallbladder right after surgery but they didn't prescribe it bcuz I was feeling too dizzy and weak. I start taking med tomrw hopefully to prevent from having any gallbladder complications or having it removed, very common for WL patients. If pain increases he's going to have me go do an ultrasound.

Anyone else having pain towards ride side of stomach? Or did your doc prescribe meds right after surgery to prevent gallstone/gallbladder issues?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
