Has anyone used the Liquid Protein drops?

I am starting my preop liquid diet on Wednesday Jan. 8th :0 I have been researching many different methods of Protein drinks. I came across a liquid drop which gives you 42 grams of protein in a 3.8 oz. serving. It is made by New whey Liquid Protein. I found it along with many other Protein Drinks.Needles to say, I have filled my basket! Anyone tried these? I found these on a website called Bariatric Choice.

I'm not sure why you'd want to use these.. Especially on the pre op diet. You are going to want a protein drink to fill you up no?

So you won't be hungry?

I am purchasing my protein for the post op phase as well. I have seen how difficukt it is to get enough water 2-3 weeks postop and the inability to meet the 80gtams of protein as well. This liquid protein would be great to helpeet those protein requirements. I know it is important to eat your protein nut additional liquid protein supplements just may help me keep my hair!

If you look at the ingredients listed, collagen protein is listed first, then whey protein isolate. I was told to look for proteins that list whey protein isolator or soy protein isolate as the first ingredient. Collagen protein is not absorbed as well. Also, this product claims yo be heat stable, but all good proteins will clump at higher temps like the white if an egg will change when heated. Also like cooking hamburger meat...heat changes the consistency, I would be leery of any protein that doesn't change consistency when heated

I bought a bunch of these for post-op and they're absolutely disgusting. Seriously. Don't waste your money. They're thick like maple syrup and sickly sweet. Plan on regular old Protein shakes and later post-op, Protein Bars.

Also, it's misleading that they call them protein shots. I was thinking it would be really small but they're huge. And, did I mention, sooooooo gross. Blech. It makes me shudder just thinking about them.

Don't waste your money. It's thick and gross. I could barely get down half of one. I tried getting it ice cold, but that just made it thicker which made it worst. Drink Isopure from gnc. 40 grams of protein and the grape and green apple really aren't that bad. You can dilute them at first to help.
