Hi everyone! Happy New Year! I am just wondering if anyone has or had this problem? I don't have a surgery date set yet. I am hungry all the time! It seems I can't get full a lot of times. After surgery will this change with my smaller stomach and all? I sure hope so. It is very frusterating now.

I am hungry just about all of the time (although I'm sure most of it is head hunger), and have to eat enough for 3 people to get full. I think my stomach is stretched out from years of overeating. This is why I'm having the surgery--for the restriction of the smaller stomach and lessening of the gherlin production that causes us to get hungry in the first place.

My surgeon swears to me that my hunger won't be an issue anymore after I'm sleeved. I'm really counting on this surgery to get my appetite back under control. You're not alone!

Hello! I was sleeved less then three months ago, October 7th 2013. I had the same problem as well with needing to constantly eat and I was never full. I was also a non stop total pig when it came night time...all I would do was eat eat eat. Now, almost three months out I am below doctors goal weight and don't eat constantly, actually I eat twice a day, very very small portions and FEEL full. I also don't snack at night, I don't feel the need, no feeling of hunger. I never really felt the full feeling until I was sleeved, it's amazing. I wish you the best of luck!! Hope this helped! :-)

I had this problem as well before i stared this journey. I learned that I was totally lacking in protein! I was a carb addict, when i started to really look at what i was eating (decrease the carbs - increase the protein), the weight really started coming off and i was no longer constantly starving!

I am 4 mos sleeved. I have lost 55 lbs and have less than 30 to go. My problem is that I am eating every two to three hours. I am still losing but I am afraid that because I eat every 2-3 hours I will stretch my pouch. I only eat tops 100 to 160 calories each time. Do you think I will stretch my pouch?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
