Can I get a fill at goal weight?!

Hey guys.

Just a quick question, I had my lap band this time last year. It has been very successful and I am now at my goal weight. Went from 120kgs to 63 kgs. I have had two fills my last being about 6 or 7 months ago.

I do feel hungry a lot but I have lost my excess weight before through will power and through a lot of exercise. This seems to be the same I have lost my weight partly to the lapband but more I feel due to exercise and nutrition.

I am at the stage where I am not exercising as much and have put some of the weight back on. I am going to see Kevin Dolan my surgeon in a couple of months and was going to ask him for a fill, do you think he will give me one even if I am at goal. I dont want to lose anymore weight I just want to not have to rely on exercise to keep the weight off.

Cheers

First, whose goal weight are you at? Yours? or the weight you should be at.....I ask because I had a few goals set for myself, I when I reached them I just kept on loosing....until my body "settled" at the weight it should be at, with a very low body fat %....there is simply nothing left to loose without it being unhealthy.....

As for fills....I can only share how my Dr. determined if I needed a fill or not....HIS goal was to get me comfortably into the "Green" Zone, and stay there....he made that very plain to me right after surgery that that was our next phase.....

When I had an office visit, he would refer to the "Yellow-Green-Red" chart he has hanging on the wall, and ask me a few questions to determine where I was in relation.....even if I had lost weight, he would be just as concerned about the OTHER attributes as well......so if I said I was struggling as all hell to combat hunger/cravings, that would NOT the green Zone, and he would feel I needed another adjustment....

But that was MY Dr......you need to tell your Dr. exactly what you're experiencing with this Weight Loss Surgery and where that all fits into his/her treatment plan.....

Lots of people say they have their goals...but this is not a diet...I cannot stop this when I want to, unless I should get some Fluid taken out allowing me to eat larger portions more often....but I'm not going to do that.

I have a hard time understanding how other people say they have a goal and will stop there....

I would expect your body to level off at some point. If you do not continue your life the saem way you did to lose, you will gain, inches or pounds. Your doctor is the only one who can tell you if a fill will help.

My doctor does the same with the chart! I'm almost six years I'm going back for a small fill

Gained little over 20lbs n I want it off

I do Zumba walk power classes but no matter the weight started creeping back. I don't want 20lbs turning into 30 lbs

My eating has changed notice I started going back to my old ways Started back on smaller plates smaller forks I try to pay attention to my stomach. I still get suck here and there. Can not eat meat at all. I can eat fish n chicken veggies n I do a smoothie for fruit.

Merry Christmas Happy New Year
