Help! I Was Banded 4 Days Ago!

I understood there were going to be gas pains. I walk my dog in the morning, I park far away from the entrance at work, and I make sure I'm mound throughout the day. However, the gas pains I am experiencing are awful! I'm taking gas-x, phazyme, drinking peppermint tea, nothing seems to ease the pain. It hurts to take a breath. Any ideas?!?

It will get better- I know that's hard to believe right now!! After about 10 days, you will be saying , "what gas pain!" Hang in there!! Walk, heating pad and warm baths..

Well I am so past all the pain and thinking things are getting stuck. Life is as it used to be. So happy to have that stage over. Thanks so much to everyone that helped out. Have a Merry Christmas

Today is Day 9 post op and the swelling is minimal. No pain meds, nothing. Wore jeans for the first time and only have discomfort at the port.

One part I don't like so far is the port is one inch above and to the left of my belly button. Hope the feeling of the port goes away as it is right on or very near to the waistline of many of my clothes!! Now knowing this, I hope as losing weight, this location moves from clothing waistline area.

Hmm. My port is up much closer to my bra line. I like the placement. Still having terrible gas pains. I feel like I can't take deep breaths without stabbing pains.
