Tall Women, Tell Me Your Story!

Recommended Posts

Wow. Amazing results. So are you ladies working out? If so, what's your workout regimen? I've heard some people never working out some I'm curious. I do 30-40 mins of cardio 4x weekly and my surgery is next month. Also how are you eating? Are you doing low carb diets? I weigh 290 at 5'8-9" and would like to get to 160ish... Any help or tips would be great!!!!!

I started the Couch to 5K running program in February when I was 245lbs. Since then I have run 3 5K races and 2 10K races. I'm training for a half marathon now and ran 8 miles this morning. I feel great, but really have to balance getting my nutritional needs met for running and still being able to lose. I am 181 and have 6 pounds to go to meet my goal weight. I love running because all I need are good shoes.

My plan is 60+g of Protein, 60+ou of Water and 60+ min of exercise. I don't log or watch carbs, but I try to stay away from processed foods because they make me feel like crap. I eat Protein first (Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, cheese, boiled eggs, and chicken) and veggies second.

I'm 5'10", starting weight was 252. I'm 8 months post op and now 179, my goal is 170 because that will put my BMI under 25. Currently my BMI is 25.8. If I never lost another pound I'd still be the happiest person in the world! I'm wearing size 10 jeans (sometimes size 8) and medium tops. I finally feel NORMAL!!

Wow I don't think I can do 150 I'm 5'9 my dr said 175 - 180. Thought that was still a little high but 150 I think will be to thin for my height? We will see. Scheduled for 12/30

Personally I think it would be too thin. I'm 5'10" and 179. My goal is 170. I'm a size 10 pants, medium top. I'm amazed at how good I feel!

Readbean I do protien first then veggies. Not too many starches as in no corn and pototoes about once a week. bread once a week. I'm in the maintenance phse so It's still trial and error. I make a conscience effort to eat or I lose more weight. Happy weight range 166-170. You can do this. Remember it is a weight loss journey not a sprint.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
