Nice! I used to take Xanax, but I love klonopin even more! Hahahha. Although I rarely ever take it.

I don't like klonopin as much. Not sure why it doesn't work as well for me. Xany all the way! Lol.

See, and I'm opposite. I think Xanax is meant to be taken on a more regular basis, where klonopin is for people like me who take it really sporadically. But either way. Yay to getting calm when needed!

Lol I have Ativan. And Seroquel for anxiety but I never take them. I asked if I could the night before surgery and they said not within 12 hrs of go time Bc it could mess with the anesthesia. Ugh

I'm at the airport ready to depart for my life changing adventure. My surgery is bright and early tomorrow morning with Dr Alvarez at Endobariatric. I am super excited and ready with a side of nervous. I lost 17 pounds on my liquid diet and I an hoping I fit in the airplane seat without an extender... I will report back in a few and let you know if that happened. Wish me luck! :-)

. Done with surgery, I've already walked around and am doing good!

All my pre op tests are done, insurance approved surgery date 2/25. I have to be at the hospital @ 5:45 AM 1st sleeve of the day. I start my liquid diet on 2/15. I am a bit scared, nervous, anxious, excited. It also doesn't help that my wife is also getting scared and second guessing the whole thing, She is my ROCK and I need her support. She is afraid of losing me, kids losing there dad, or see me go thru this and it not work. I keep telling her I'll be fine and it WILL work, I will make it work. Good luck to everyone.

MrSleeve, I too have the surgery date of 2/25. I start my preop diet tomorrow. The closer the date gets, the crazier my loved ones are getting. Stay focused and steadfast, they'll have no choice but to get onboard.

Ha! And Ativan works for you but I don't feel a thing on it. Funny how it works so differently for others. My surgeon told me I could take the Xanax the morning of my survey. Bonus! Haha. Not sure I will have to but he said if I'm freaking out take it and let the nurses know when I check in.

Why can't you take it but not tell them????? Bahahahaha. I'm just kidding. Now I sound like a druggie. I'm not. I only like klonopin when I feel like I'm gonna explode with anxiety. In fact, I really can't take drugs unless I actually need them. They make me sick if I take em after I'm done being in pain or whatever.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
