Any February 2014 Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

Me too! I've had no issues getting my liquids in and I have had all my regular cravings. I binged on too many Vitamins and stopped because I can't go down this path again. Like you I am determined to win at this!

Ok. I am hungry all the time because I am struggling getting Protein in. How do you do it! I've only gotten about one shake a day in. I go to a follow up with the nutritionist tomorrow so I was going to ask her. But what do you do? I'm kind of freaked out that I'm only able to get small amounts of thick liquids in.

I'm hungry don't get me wrong but I think it's head hunger more than anything because physically my stomach isn't hungry. How big are your shakes? My servings are about 4 oz at each meal I can get those down sipping slowly and very watered down. All I can have now is broth, Tomato Soup as food 1 cup at a time. I asked some of the vets on this site about the eating now and how that changes. They said not to worry we will feel full when we introduce solids. Let me know what your nutritionist says. I see mine thurs. Hope this helps!

Lost 10 lbs on the preop now 5 lbs post op only 2 lbs from onederland. Good luck to those with surgeries coming up!

I struggle with more than two ounces of shake at a time. I have gotten maybe 6-8oz of shake in a day max which is only 30 grams of Protein.

Yes, it makes a little gurgle at first. That is starting to go away. I also had pain with each sip the first couple of days. It felt like even the smallest sip would just sit above the stomach for a few seconds before entering the stomach that also went away. The dr said it was because of swelling and it went away like he said. I'm surprised how it can still take 30 minutes to eat a 1/2 cup of Soup because the stomach gets full and I have to wait to take more.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
