Dont Want To Be Conceited?

Recommended Posts

I've never measured myself but today at work it was brought to my attention that I should. Has any one done it? What did you measure? How often?

I took measurements before surgery...It's nice to see the inches melt away, especially if you're at a stall on the scale.

I measured my neck, bicep, bust, chest, waist, hips, thigh and calf.

That's where I am. I'm not loosing as much but I know I am because pants that once didn't fit now do. But I will be buying a tape measure tomorrow. Thanx.

It has nothing to do with conceit.

Sometimes when the scale isn't moving, you can still have changes in your measurements. It's another way to keep track of what is going on with your weight loss, and it can keep you from being discouraged when the scale is being a jerk.

YES, measure. I wish I would have before surgery. I measure probably once a week and I love when I have to change my "stats" - even when the scale doesn't move :)

Definitely measure. I started the day I started my liquid preop diet. I now measure every month on the 12th. It is so encouraging to see those numbers shrink especially when you've been so large for so long you don't really see the difference in the mirror yet.

My doc took measurements preop & I did it once postop, around 3 months out. I decided to measure about every 3 months & now I'm coming up on 6 months out. I guess it's time to measure again!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
