Elizabeth... I can eat more but then my pouch just sends it back up much like an infant! Lol

Most comfortable keeping it at 1/2 cup! My surgeon says that I will never drink half hour prior, 1/2 hour to eat and still no liquids for 1/2 hour post meal.... Warns that If you do , your Proteins will not be absorbed for nourishment but will be flushed right through your pouch... Causing hunger and malnourishment issues! No thanks!

I cannot tolerate chicken either.. But fish, shrimp, turkey, refried Beans and ham all work ok... eggs not so much now.. I don't eat red meat as I don't like it.. Don't like fat free cheeses either ( I eat small piece of reduced fat cheese ). Love Targets Simply Balanced rice crackers with a laughing cow cheese wedge! My big treat.. Haha

Glad to hear your moving past the liquids... I bet you are ready for some cottage cheese and cinnamon..! Best wishes to you.

Dyan from frozen over Ohio!

How is everyone doing so far? What has been your best weightloss moment besides seeing the scale go down?

Hi im jenny..surgery was Nov 19th 2013 and I'm down 70 lbs! My best moment was zipping up a pair of size 16 pants!!!! Nothing tastes as good as I feel these days!!!! That is what keeps me motivated to stick with eating healthy and exercising!:)))

My surgery was 11/5 and I'm down 83lbs! Some of the more "psychological" accomplishments:

- Getting on an airplane without worrying if the seat would be too small, or if the seatbelt would fit. I could cross my legs and have slack in the seatbelt!

- Zipping up a size 14 jeans -- I think the last time i wore a 14 was in highschool

- Buying size L shirts from a "normal" store (i.e. not a plus size store)

- Weighing the same (soon to be less!) than my husband

- 6 lbs away from "onderland"!

While I definetly feel better physically, without those emotional milestones noted above, I'm still having problems really believing I look any different. I'm sure it will come in time. It helps when I see a before/after picture of myself. That's when I see the drastic difference. But in my mind I still look 291 lbs.

You guys are doing great! Those are fantastic accomplishments :) I had the same issue of not "seeing it" the nurse/doctors office said it's body dismorphia like how anorexia patients still always see a fat person. They said it takes time and you need to wear new you clothes that fit and look at before and after pics often so your body image changes. Oh I will look you up on my fitness pal. I am so glad you don't want my money lol

Love post from our November crew! My RNY was on the 18th. I am down 70 #'s and feel better than I have in years! At almost 65 years Old I am working towards walking a 5K with my daughters in a few months! I stall for weeks at a time and the scales have certainly slowed way down but my surgeons team says that is going to happen since I am 26 pounds from goal. Sticking to my plan and realizing how much the fat hide my wrinkles! Lol

alimarie... I send you hugs on your paypal account! That was funny!

Wow God bless you! 65 and doing a 5k that is beyond great. That is a true inspiration to us all!!! My surgery was November 21st I am 92lbs down I have had many complications and been on liquids until 2 weeks ago. Finally able to eat I am now strong enough to get my exercising started which I did last week. You all inspire me with your great successes and I can't wait to be were you all are. Please keep the updates coming. I for one need to hear how people at the same point are doing. I find it motivational and truly inspiring.

My surgery was Nov 6th and I've lost 90lbs so far. Feeling so much better :-) have only bought a couple of new items of clothes (trying not to waste money on clothes I won't be able to wear for long) and each time I've taken items into the changing room I expect the staff to laugh at me or point out I have the wrong size but they fit! Down from 24/26 (uk) to 14/16(uk)..... Soooo happy

Surgery was Nov 25th for me. I'm down 70 lbs. I hit a couple bumps in the road recently that landed me in the hospital for 21 days so I have taken a few steps back and reverted back to a liquid diet and had to stop my exercise routine. Hoping to catch back up to all the November surgeries and actually looking forward to going back to work lol! I'm going on a flight tomorrow, excited to see how well I fit, usually I'm nervous that it's going to be a tight squeeze!

Ok so we all seem to be doing well yay! Now I am curious what exercises are helping you the most? Are you straight cardio or cardio weights or strength training? I am elliptical walking strength training girl. I am wondering about yoga and pilates but I am not sure if that's more maintaining stuff and not for weightloss.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
