What an inspiration! My husband and I are also getting sleeved together in early 2014. (Staggered a bit though for sanity!) Thanks so much for sharing your progress!

It's going to be a great shared experience! We're loving it. Nothing like having your best friend to through this with you.

You know what that means?? That means you made it through your pre-op without killing anyone. Yes? No deaths, right? Just checking.

Wow you both look amazing. Funny we always find fault in ourselves but praise our partner, you both need to take a minute to pat yourselves on the back great job! I'm 2 1/2 weeks out and lost 14 kgs about 30 lbs. I wasn't whinging but did say it was not a lot and my son and I went shopping and he put a 10 kg bag of rice in the trolly when I asked what he was doing he said just demonstrating some of what I had lost. Touché

Oh girl, my butt has gotten so much smaller I keep checking to ensure I still have one! I realize it looks better smaller but I don't want to lose all of it.

I was raised in India until I was about 20 years old. We like our women with a little meat on them. Way too many people in that country thin from actual starvation, you know? My idea of what's attractive was formed by that upbringing.

I suspect I will set my goal higher than some others because I do not want to lose my curves. As I say, still want the hourglass, just a little less sand in it :P

So I am a "slow loser" per this board's standards although I'm beyond delighted with my progress. But if give you an idea, I lost 20 lbs the first month (including pre-op) and 6 lbs in month 1. Trust me, that shows. So you will probably lose the "few pounds" you hope to :) Put a new outfit on your birthday list.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
