banded on 3-5-07 and my sholder is killing me!!!!

I was banded on march 5 2007 by Dr. Geiss at Soyosset Hospital in Long Island New York. The doctor and his staff are the best i have seen and the hospital care was also fenominal. I attended several meetings and I was aware that there might be sholder pain but not to this degree. I have cut my meal portion to 3oz at each meal, I use gas-x I have started walking in hopes to get rid of this pain. I was planing to go back to work on Monday but I cant see me pulling a 12 hour day, so I will give my self a little more time. Does any one have any advise?:help:

Banded on 3-5-07 also. I can certainly feel your pain. The pain in your shoulder is from gas. I was told to use Dulcolax suppositories which would help. I also used a heating pad on my shoulder which helped. I was also told to stay on clear liquids until all the gas passed. Today I will start my second phase of eating which will consist of cream soups, yogurt, skim plus milk and sugar free pudding and jello for 2 weeks. Hope this helps. If you are not on this kind of diet and need a copy I would be happy to share mine. Feel better. footballmom

I was at an orientation yesterday and the nurse that was conducting the meeting has the lap band and she said that she took liquid tylenol every 3 to 4 hours for a couple of days and that took care of her pain. She said it would wake her up from a deep sleep and she would just go get some tylenol.
