Glad to find this site. Newbie surgery in two weeks!

Hello everyone. I am glad to have found this site. I am scheduled for a RNY in about 2 weeks. I go for my preop visit one week from today. I have had a weight problem all my life. My first diet was my mother bringing me to Weight Watchers at age 8. I am so tired of this battle and how I feel that I have allowed many things in life to slip by as I made excuses for why I wasn't doing certain things. I am tired of living a lie..yes, there are things I want to do, and look forward to at least having the ability to participate in. I am not saying that I really would sky jump, but by golly I will have that option. Besides being healthier, and looking better I am ready to start living again. Life has been on hold for too long, and my weight has dictated my opportunities too much. Look forward to watching others blossom as well... so my journey begins.

Welcome and best of luck. I had RNY on 7.31.13. It has been the best thing Ive ever done, just wish I had done, just wish I had done it sooner.

Best of luck to all. Remember we all have different bodies. Everyone will lose at a different pace, so never beat yourself up about it. Stalls will happen. Some get them all the time and some only have very few. Follow your Surgeons protocol. I was on puree in day two, others don't hit it until two and three weeks out. Measure, weigh everything and sip, sip, sip. Some will have complications and some of us h have not had a single issue with anything. Its not a diet its a lifestyle. Best of luck. :)
