Hey all - Just had an endoscopy. It's the last thing on my journey to surgery. I submitted my paperwork to insurance today also. My surgeon's nurse mentioned something about H. Pylori and how they tested for it during the endoscopy. I'm just wondering - how many of you actually had it? Here I thought I was almost done and now the possibility of having to wait longer (I've already waited 6 months) has me a little bummed. Thanks all.

I had it years ago and back then it was treated with 24 tablets of tums per day and an antibotic. This course was for two weeks. My nurse told me when I had my endoscopy that since I had it before, I probably wouldn't have it again. I didn't. So lets hope, yours comes back all clear. Normally they can see little ulcers or red spots because that is what this will do. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that all is well.

I had multiple rounds of ulcers years ago, then was given the antibiotics for h. pylori and never had another.
