Wow you lost 19 lbs in 9 days that is awesome!!! Good for you. I have lost 8 lbs and I had surgery on Nov 1st!! Maybe you should stick to your liquids a little while longer ;) jk! Sounds like we are doing about the same we are very fortunate. I hate it when I hear that others are having troubles because I know that could have been me!

Did you have your surgery in GB? I'm having mine in Milwaukee on November 20.

I'm nearly one month out, and I'm eating 3-4 oz per meal, depending on what it is. 4 oz of yogurt, Soup, even pureed chili.

No way I could do 4 oz of soft eggs, tuna, pureed chicken though.... Not even 3 oz really without discomfort.

Do the math.....4 ounces is 1/2 cup and 3 ounces is a 1/3 of a cup. That is all you should be eating now. Relax....you are doing fine.

Your nutritiionist should have given you an entire packet of what to do along with meal plans and recipes for your Protein powder. I had cream of chicken, cream of mushroom, Tomato Soup made with milk and I put unflavored Protein Powder in it. Also you can have fat free puddings thinned with a little milk, greek yogurts with no fruit pieces and if that is too thick, thin it with a little milk. I really liked the kids gogurt, went down real easy and was thinner than regular yogurt. Strain the Soup of any mushrooms or pieces of chicken. MIlk, soy milk or Lactaid milk. Liquid Protein drinks too. Drink 6 to 8 cups of Fluid a day and try to get your Protein up to 60 grams a day. I had my surgery October 24th and I am now on mushy foods. You will be lucky to get 300 calories in you a day. Remember drink s-l-o-w.....Warm foods may better than cold or visa versa. Does this help???

I'm gonna buy The Bullet and make all of my pureed foods when the time comes - at least that's the thought. I would rather be in control of the salt than trusting packaged food options.

Puree meats after you cut them up real small, blend them and then mix them with a little mashed potatos and gravy. I used Country Crock mashed potatoes and keep them in the fridge for a few tablespoons here and there. I cooked up some butternut squash and pureed them. So good with a little splenda brown sugar substitute and sprinkle with cinnamon. I have had pureed chicken, new york steak and pureed tuna noodle casserole....Yum. By then you are so ready for meat. Tonight I get to go out to dinner for my son-in-law's birthday to a Longhorn BBQ Place. I want to gnaw on a rib bone and I can!!! The only thing you can't do is eat a lot of biscuits or bread. So, taters, veggies and a rib bone with a little meat on it. If you stick out your tongue and someone can still recognize what it is, chew some more!

Season everything. Good luck. My fave right now is shepherds pie!!!! Got it at a local restaurant. I'll be eating it for days!!!

OH my I start purees on Thanksgiving. I SOOOO can't wait for pureed turkey and mashed potatoes. Turkey first of course. My other plans are:

Turkey Chili - you eat it all together so blended should be any different

chicken Tortilla Soup - no rice or tortillas .. already has good flavored broth for blending

pureed fish

I just so can't wait to have hot food. 2 wks clear, 2 wks full liquid, 2 weeks puree....come on THANKSGIVING!!!

Day of surgery 10/29...244 today 232 12lb in 12 days....I'm good with that.

I'm so envious of every one, I'm still on liquids 5 days out of surgery I really feel like I'm going thru withdrawal! I actually had a dream I was eating regular food, sigh one day like they say dreams do come true. Guess this phase will pass soon

I agree on the different taste PackerGrl! i just started the full liquids phase and that's not too exciting either. I can stand the same flavor for quite some time, but I'll be honest.. all this talk about pureeing regular foods makes me feel nauseous. When I get to soft foods, I will just stick to regular soft foods that are soft and smooth all on their own. I don't mind pureeing certain Soups, but when it comes to things like meats and chicken, that is something I can't stomach! But you go to all the girls that are getting crafty with the meals!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
