October 2013 Sleevers Roll call!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I'm new to this site so I'm very excited to read what you all have to share!

Surgery date 08oct13
STarting weight 266
Today's weight 229

Goal... 10 pounds at a time

It's bloody cold here in northern Alberta so walking outside is harder now than before. I'm going to get my son to help me set up the wii so I can get back on the exercise that I'm supposed to be doing. Protein intake is good about 80g and my struggle is getting enough Water. Other than that, no complaints and NO REGRETS!

Kj

I noticed I have felt cold since sleeve.

I have asked my case nurse, she said ". Well you just lost a layer of blubber"

But I hear it a lot on here. I think there is a body thermostat thing that needs to adjust to weight loss.

You lost 30lbs in 3 weeks?!! Wow!

Yeah, there were a couple of days where I gained a pound or two, but then I figured out that I needed to keep up with the Miralax, and then I'd drop what I'd gained the next day. Constipation's no joke! I'm anticipating the dreaded "third week stall", but I'm ramping up my Protein and Fluid and hopefully, I won't stall at all.

I'm buying Miralax on my way home tonight!!! I need it anyway. I only go once a week since this surgery and that's with MOM when I used to go daily preop. It is NO JOKE!!
I was constipatedThursday and Friday. NO JOKE,!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water. Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
